Finally some sound advice.
Have good habits for tracking deadlines. If you’re worried about deadlines, you may not have a great system in place to keep your mind at ease.
I decided I wasn’t built for litigation and moved to a different practice area.
Studies show that we may be hard-wired to ruminate on negative thoughts at night — because nighttime was historically dangerous for us.
Consider keeping a “worry journal,” where you set aside 30 minutes during the day to write down your worries. If the worry comes up again later, you can tell yourself it’s on your list and you’ll work on it the next day.
I have “dreams” in which I’m lying awake and realize I was assigned a case that I forgot to put on my spreadsheet and completely missed all the deadlines. I’m not sure if I’m awake and thinking this, or if I’m asleep and I’m dreaming that I’m lying awake thinking of it
