Just realized it's not Friday ☹️
I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

Came from an agency, earned less than you currently are at a manager level in NYC. But that seems to be the norm in agencies — they underpay but overwork you. Highly recommend going brand side (if you have ~2yrs exp agency exp) and asking for at least 80-95k, depending on your level of experience.
But my caveat, is I’ve started to see growth managers at other brands now demanding a base of ~100k. So research the company and checkout their glassdoor.
When you say “manages a team of 3” do you mean you have 3 direct reports? If yes, you should probably talk to someone about a title change and salary bump to at least $85k if not $90k. And a supervisor or something similar to make it clear you lead people, not just accounts. If your company won’t give you what you want, I bet you’d have no trouble getting another higher paying role with your experience.
For reference, I’m at roughly the same salary as you (though with terrible benefits, tbh) with no direct reports. I handle two of our largest healthcare clients with digital marketing initiatives and have grown the work significantly over the past year, so I’m in the middle of negotiations for a raise.
TLDR: you deserve a raise, job hop if you have to in order to get it.
