Honestly, how can we do this until the T is in better shape? If the city can get that sorted out, then yes, absolutely.

Absolutely not. Make the T reliable first. Take away the dedicated bike lanes second; some major city arteries only having one lane of vehicular traffic in either direction is absurd and of course there will be congestion.

You folks are so car-brained. That being said, yes the T is miserable and could use for some real equipment upgrades and increases to frequency, but even just better bus service would be a huge benefit and that can be employed relatively cheaply and quickly with the additional funds from congestion
Why should people who take public transportation subsidize car drivers? People forget, but road maintenance is stupidly expensive and the social cost of driving (obesity, bad urban planning, fatalities/injuries) is staggering.
Commuter rails are already jammed as is. Not sure how you even get more people on public transit
