Work Life balance.
That’s a good one!
These days I can't get either without getting into a management role. I've been there and it's not something I want to get back to. I want to me an analyst. I'm in a role where I directly affect operational success without stressing over whether people show up to work to cover the workload for the day. Sadly, non-management roles in this industry don't seem to pay very well for someone looking to have a single or single+ income household with 4 kids.
I consider myself lucky to have gotten away from a forklift early, but I still enjoy that kind of work. If I could support my family financially while still driving on a dock, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Very good!
I will say take the money and also try and balance my work . Am glad in my company that teach us time boxing and how to utilize a standard work check list. Having those help alot especially when u have a job that has so many responsibility. Those tools help you create time for family and also how to build a string team . If you have that in check life is great . Remember everyone's development is different . I learned all these from my SR manger . The dude is always chilled and the dept runs so smooth even on chaotic days .
I’m thinking about taking the money too! Thanks for the feedback!
