WPP - with the 4 day RTO

I am only 9-5 and that’s the instruction I am going to give my team.

At home I stay on til 7-8, not doing that in the office if I have to commute

Yep it’s crazy how productive I’ve been during planning season just staying home and staying on til 8PM. Now in the office I’m just logging off at 5:30 and ain’t logging back on when I get home

likesmart

Same. I am on late most nights which I actually don’t mind because of wfh
Yeah I am done after 5:00

Show up, sit in an area with no one, leave after lunch

like

Yep sit with a random bunch, then leave. Barriers are always open at GroupM/EssenceMedia. Guard just waves you through if pass doesn't work.

I didn’t realize media people were ever working past 5 anyway

You’re right, I was trying to joke. But lamely

the issue with RTO is that leadership still expects you to be on all hours of the day. Will not be as available due to the commute which IS how it was pre covid. Maybe pre pandemic people occasionally brought their laptop home to work late but more often once you left, you were done for the day. Leadership wants to have its cake and eat it too . But they’ll soon realize you can’t give us the “you did it pre covid “ excuse and expect to be still be as available as I was post covid. They want to demand guys in seats but still expect the same flexibility that WFH provides

like

Lol don't work until 7 PM. They are only entitled to 40 hours from you

like

Back in the day, that’s what we did. 9-5. Long lunch with a martini. No computers/tech/email. Home to our stay at home wife by 5:30 -6:00 for family dinner.

Those must’ve been the good old days, Don. Say hi to Roger for me

like

It’s refreshing that they acknowledge they expect people to be less productive on days they work from home, because guess what…

They said that? I didn't see that email

Who told you you are only 9-5? Is that in your contract? Are you staff ?

Not sure what product this could be for but would love to see someone use the whole “10 years of wedded bliss” in an ad. You know, the married couple that constantly fights, or one partner that had an affair. But they still post about the “bliss” on their social media when anniversary time rolls around.

Maybe a packaged food good taking about real ingredients. Nothing fake.

Hi all. I can't help but feel that my current 'Digital Managing Partner' job title is a little too niche when it comes to LinkedIn job/resume keyword relevance, particularly outside of a media agency environment. However, a 'Digital Director' title feels too junior and 'Managing Director' maybe a little more senior. Any logical suggestions please? Thanks
