Why regret it. You will regret living onshore without parents if they pass away. I have never seen some britisher leaving uk for India so why we are so obsessed with onsite. You are just offered the post because they were unable to get someone in their own country for less salary but you pay the higher price when family is not with you to cook even a one time meal when you fall sick. I am happy wherever i am and so should be everyone else whether offshore or onshore..
I rejected 2 times onsite opportunity from 2 different organizations and I don't have any regret for that.
