The fact that Papa John is a shitty human is not all that surprising. Didn’t stop them from taking his money when his values were clearly misaligned with Laundry Service’s during the pitch and on-boarding process.
Also wanna put out there on the record that they didn’t “offer" us 90 days severance. They didn’t offer severance at all. That day they asked us to leave immediately, without wrapping up our existing projects, and that we were “done with our work.” We’re still employed and can be called upon at any time during the 90 days to work. Basically a 90 day termination notice, and if we fuck up and can’t come in, we’re forced to resign. They’re not doing us any favors. They’re following the bare minimum of the law and taking complete advantage of us.

I’m enjoying time off. I’ve been “showing face” and coming into the office during the past 7 months with little to no projects going on as a result of losing multiple clients this year, and suffered creative stagnation for that entire time. So, I’m gunna take my time to recharge and get inspired again. They’re not giving us severance so I’ll relax while they pay me to be employed.
Did they already lose Papa John’s?

Their earnout was done. It's pretty simple. I would exit as well after I sold and got my earnout- that's what you do when your succesful
And every agency loses clients and does layoffs.

Yeah, they lost papa johns a while ago
I had no idea. Offered to freelance there. Nobody got back to me after reaching out. Wondered if the holiday week had something to do with it. Perhaps more than holiday week? Nah. Maybe it’s my book.
