Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

If you're an associate and already asking this question, I'd say it's unlikely you are going to stick around to make partner
OP - yes; but assuming you want to stay in tax there are not as many opportunities outside of PA to have partner salaries outside of PA. That doesn’t mean you don’t make good money as a tax director or being in charge of planning. We are talking still north of $350K (but B4 partners make on average 2x that). There are Global Head of Tax positions that pay partner level salaries but they are at large global companies or in banking/PE. As such there aren’t as many. You have to become the top tax person at these large MNCs (a Senior VP or Chief Tax Officer). Making partner at a large law firm, if you are a lawyer in tax, is even more lucrative then a B4 partners salary but they don’t generally have pensions. Now if you move outside of traditional tax roles into CFO and similar positions, then yes, you can definitely make partner type money.
@EY1 this makes me less likely to quit. I would also think for females wanting to have a family and kids, there will be better flexibility at a B4 to achieve this top salary as a partner than elsewhere
@Tax Senior 1 - I agree with you. No firm is perfect from a D&I and/or flexibility standpoint but the B4 are better than any industry I know of in trying to provide it. It is not something you can put a dollar amount on but for me that flexibility is invaluable.
