For anyone who is burnt out and looking to leave big law and go to a midsize, do your research. I was one of those people and I can tell you the grass is NOT greener on the other side. It’s a myth. In retrospect, I should’ve stayed and set better boundaries and not have taken this 35% pay cut.

Has anyone moved away from NY and successfully resigned from the NY bar? What are the consequences if you just don’t pay? The requirements are insane to officially “resign” - draft a motion, pay a fee, send proof of service - I honestly do not know what this nonsense means, I’m not a litigator for a reason. Is there someone I can pay to do it? Should I just pay the $375 to stay active to avoid this nightmare?

Anyone on here working/worked at Moderna Norwood location? What are you experiences and do you recommend? Are there any “buts” or red flags?

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

The next time your client asks for analytics on your idea: just say "Josh Donaldson and Hillary's pollsters."

Starting a staffing company, suggest some name for it. Most liked one will be selected.

International tax senior associate- Deloitte

I have an interview with Deloitte next week for senior associate Internacional tax in California. How much salary I should expect? I am sure this question will come up and I don't want to underbelly myself. Currently I am a senior at other Big4.

I’m having trouble working in Tax. I’m overwhelmed and am feeling like I’m not producing my best work. I want to talk to someone at work about it but a) I don’t know who to go to and b) feel like it’s not worth it because there’s nothing that anyone can do but tell me to get a different job. I feel like I SHOULD say something to someone though, right? Idk. I’ve been on the job hunt for a while now and am not really having any luck, which is just adding to my despair. What should I do?

Any companies considering inflation raises or have already committed to increasing annual merit to match inflation? If so, willing to share % raise?

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

I just got an offer at McKinsey and I was wondering if the base pay is the same across all first year BAs or if there is typically room for negotiation this early in the career. What other questions do I need to be asking?

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case.
