Hey there!
I am a Masters Student majoring in Machine Learning. I am in my first semester and I am kind leaning to explore Data Science as well. Could any Professional Data Scientists help me out on getting started? What skills do I focus on? What kind of projects should I have on my portfolio?
I have tried looking this info out in the internet but its all overwhelming. Hoping to get some honest guidance here!

Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.

10 years at AFS. Great place, but your account/leads greatly impact your experience. If you don’t like your account/leads you can always switch :)
No complaints here
Depends on what your other offers are
I started my career as an analyst at Accenture fed side too, but outside the US. In my experience the people are awesome and WLB is chill and you get a decent brand name on your resume. Downside is projects are likely to be longer than commercial side so if your focus is to get a lot of varied experience it may not be the right place. You need to really drive your own career or the company will just put you where they need someone and it may not always align to your longer term goals.
Thank for the reply folks, I’m graduating with a degree in CS. What are some reasons why I should choose AFS as a software engineer analyst over software engineer for a tech company?
AFS offers excellent wlb with reasonable pay and progression. Not sure wlb should be at the top of the list coming out of school though.
Never pursued my application and that was my greatest mistake. I had a good opportunity back then but I chose the other. So if you were given the chance to work there, grab it! Good luck! :)
I've only heard great things about Accenture. Everyone loves it. There's plenty of opportunity to move upward in the company just have to apply yourself.
In a similar spot to you :)
