I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? How will this look for my career development? Curious about the standard perception of Sales Executive from a seniority perspective. Where does this land on the sales roles hierarchy? For context, it’s a professional services firm, I’ve been there 3+years, and they gave a Sales Executive title to someone who just started 5mo ago.

He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

I am a CSM working in CTS for the past 4 years.. Here it's a dual role.. BA / SM and getting 9.5 LPA. Total YOE is 10Y. Since this package is so less compared with market, I resigned & started looking for a change. Got 3 offers - one for 15LPA, another for 16LPA and another for 21 LPA (all fixed). My question is, can I still counter this offer and get more LPA.. I want to stay committed to 21Lpa, but when calls come offering 25LPA, I get confused, how to face this??
