Anyone have one of these? Thoughts?
My wife has asked for a nice watch as a graduation/new job gift. She already has a 25mm white dial watch on polished steel, which works well for dressier occasions. Now she wants something more casual.
This Omega is larger at 34mm, has a wave dial (which nicely echoes my blue Diver 300M), and is mostly brushed stainless for a more casual vibe.

Grey market prices always go up before Christmas, so hold off to January if you can.
Pro
Given that we have not reached max pain and watches are a luxury good; it would be a safe assumption there’s still time for prices to come down
Yes! I've been a long time collector and actually expect MSRP discounts in the next couple of years. Given high inflation, MSRPs will be rising at the same time that the secondary market will see increased volume and price softening. I would hold purchases, but stay liquid for the dip
Prices certainly didn’t go down during the pandemic though.
Rising Star
The people who collect watches hardly struggled during the pandemic. More like thrived
Secondary market prices already coming down. Saw a few grey resellers lowering prices on inventory that has been on hand for a while.
Depends on what brands and demand on said brands. Pateks, AP will be hard to get msrp unless your on waitlist. For other decent brands, you can get at msrp or slightly below. Good luck.
