Starting to see a lot of compensation threads and even within the same city, the variance of salary is really noticeable. I didn’t expect the spread to be this high, especially in high COL areas.

I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. I have only few more weeks to my LWD. I attended interview for 5 companies all cleared, but only 1 offer in hand, which I am not satisfied with. Others never came back with salary negotiation/confirmation. They just ask the expected CTC and never get back with update. It's a painful wait and demotivating. Do they come back or am I just waiting for nothing? My expectation is not out of the box too. Please suggest?
