12 YOE with 30 LPA. Working in a non-Witch Product company's Service division. Manual Tester for 9 years doing shi**y work. Switched in last 3 years to SDET.
Skillset: Python, RF, Kubernetes(CKA) and Pipelines(E2E). I'm pretty good in technical things in the QA world. But I lack management Skills in a big way and that is the expectation from me. I'm good technical lead but awful management guy who has no clue how to play games. Is there a future for me? I'm feeling hopeless and depressed now.

Hey fishes,

Let’s say
Brillio gave some joining bonus and if we are leaving within an year we need to pay it back.
So does it mean I need to put papers after one year or is that okay to put papers after 9 months, so serving 3 months notice makes it one year.
Please let me know if anyone had an idea about this.

Are there any good networking groups?

I found an Austin young professionals group, but it’s almost entirely realtors and loan people. Which is fine, but I’m looking for more typical networking professionals groups.

I liked the Project management institute, but I’m looking for more. Either General professional, finance, tech, or healthcare focused ones would be ideal.

I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I love the private world but am really ready to move up. I don’t know what I should do. Any suggestions?

I’m an SE who works 2 AE’s, and from looking at the market am on the bottom end of the pay scale. The company I work for has many different products/services (80+), so they wanted SEs to take on a local “SME” role in a specific area, to support other members of the team.

This role has ramped up quite a bit recently, and people have been coming to me for help with their deals (overviews, demos, POCs) which is increasing my workload.

How would you approach asking for more money here? Thanks!

So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving.
