Current consultant (boutique) with offers at a large ride sharing company (starts with a U) for Strategy/BizOps and a public company in their data consulting division. Obviously different areas, but the U role is seriously lacking in comp. Anyone else take/consider much lower total comp (~30% lower) to go to strategy/biz ops?

They were going to hire people who I would manage but due to recession it’s not happening. I was earlier in consulting and left at the senior level. What type of case studies are people getting when interviewing for Strategy roles? How about Finance? Are they the same style/depth as consulting case studies? Are the examples from as "Case in Point" or "Hacking the Case" a good representation? Going to start applying in the next month or two and want to brush up on my skills.
