I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

I was back and forth UX designer, front-end, back-end, then front-end again, now front-end team lead & UX designer. This type of change is called experience and it’s normal. You’ll learn a lot more every year you spend writing code. Eventually, you may find something interesting to work on, or you’ll find a mentor who will make learning new things enjoyable. Don’t think about the amount of time you spend doing something, because that’s not an accurate way of measuring your growth. Instead, look for seeds of something that piques your interest and invest your time and energy into growing them.

That’s a cool career progression you found yourself in
Are you sure software engineering is the field for you?
Look for your passion outside of work. I don't know anyone who says they are "passionate" about their work and is also a happy person. Those people seem to live pretty isolated lives. Work your 40 hours so that you can find fulfilment outside of your job.
Paycheck >> Passion
Hobbies/Friends >> Work “drama”
None of it. Work to get paid enough to enjoy yourself after work
It’s completely normal not to have it all figured out at 2 years in. You don’t need to rush to find your “perfect” niche right now. Sometimes it takes several years or just more exposure to see what really clicks. Stay open to different opportunities, focus on building transferable skills, and pay attention to what excites you most in day-to-day work.

I hate to say but while I am more fulfilled now because of the level I’m in, most of my fulfillment is outside of work in exercising, learning cool recipes, and reading good books
Bro, you are still junior because you are thinking about software engineering in scope of frontend/backend/devops.
It is the same as breathing/walking/talking
