Wow excellent progress with IBM! I’m currently in a T2 city, joined straight out of college, 85k, hoping to get a nice raise at my one year mark- any tips for progress?
Looking at CoS roles now but it seems like any time a role asks for "consulting" experience they are talking about MBB.
Any tips?
Move to strategy firm? I have colleagues not at MBB and landing cos roles. I have also been reached out for COS at a consumer company
Not sure if it's the same for all teams but for my team they told me "if we can put you in front of a client we can promote you to band 8"
This shocked me a bit then when I thought about a lot of my teammates (especially the technical ones) I understood why this was true lol
Just need to find your niche. Do you understand the product really well? Can you build great client relationships? Are you great at spec writing? Great at putting together presentations or workshops? Find your specialty in a few of these things and make sure it's highlighted to your manager and leadership team. Once they see and think you'll be an asset, they will promote you no matter the circumstances to try and keep you.
