Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I’ve lived in Austin for 10 years and while prices are rising it is no where near as bad cost of living as LA/SF/Chi/NYC. There is over a $3 per gallon saving in just gas :)

In my 30+ years in life, I have been pigeon holed and never lived anywhere else but NYC. However, visited / worked in many many other states / countries. Yes NY is crowded, dirty, smelly. But there is no other place in the world that compares to NY. We are suffering a bit now and but bounce back soon hopefully.
If you are outgoing, love the city life and want to experience things that you never will anywhere else - this is the place! If you do want a cushy, nice life - houses with parking and big nice lawn, people with fake smiles - this ain’t it!
P.s. long CityMD or Trader Joe’s lines always wants to make me move though.
