Yes you're underpaid
Quit and do something else
Follow - up question. What city you living? Assuming it's DC
Yeah. I'm fed, don't manage anyone, at senior analyst, and at 88
Yea DC, out here with the movers and the shakers
In commercial S&O with 4 years exp you'd be at ~$90k. A $13k discount for federal doesn't sound that underpaid but I could be wrong
@OP, Consultant in Boston with similar pay to you. Our cities are comparable in cost of living so I'll say this - Yes, we are underpaid. I recently entered the job market. I have MC and Strategy experience and have asked all my first round interviews for no less than $100k base. They have all agreed. In addition, I received official base offers in $140k in corporate strategy and $110k in tech start up. My recommendation - if you leave you are underpaid, test the waters out in the market. If it acknowledges your experience deserves more money, you have your answer
No go
Advisory?
Fed mc at K in DC. Only been in consulting for 13 months and just got promoted to senior Assoc. Brought in at 80k. Still pending what the promotion will bring comp wise.
You said it, "underpaid". Make yourself useful OP. Don't see the point of this post.
Feel* not leave
Dude are you in advisory? If so that's in range for fed advisory at Deloitte
What's your rank though
I mean I'm Advisory, 2 months experience, right out of school 75k. Unless you're tech audit, you're wayyy underpaid
Started 6 months ago 85k tier 1 city. Had a D.C. Offer for 78k starting. So yes.
Commercial S&O with 4 yrs exp is 130k base. Wayy underpaid.
@C1 what??? That's almost SC MBA level. How did you swing that?
@A1 is this deloitte?? And undergrad or masters
You are not underpaid assuming your fed advisory. Compare to commercial, fed makes less. Whether you're underpaid compared to your peers is a different question. Can you make more not in federal? Yes
