Depends on what YOU want, but I would say cross off SF, the general consensus is that it has gone south over the last decade. Seattle is kinda a small city with a lot of cool outdoor activity outside of it. While Chicago is a big city with some light outdoor stuff inside the city. NY is just a whole different animal, it’s just a big city with a special vibe. I love all three of the cities for different reasons. If you have time on your side go visit them but don’t do the touristy stuff.

To further elaborate. NYC is everything. I had so much resistance to moving there and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love. Want to go shopping and grab brunch go to soho, want to unwind take a trip to Central Park or a walk on the water or over the Brooklyn bridge. If you want to eat the best Thai food I’ve ever had, go to Sabai on park. You can go out for a fun night on third Avenue. You can easily travel with the ferry, trains, and subways. Possibilities are endless. Let me know if you have specific questions I’m happy to help.

Chicago

like

Yeah don’t ever live in the loop or river north. River north is lawlessness (hood + frat bros/gals puking in the street) and the loop is for working in, not for living in. There’s nothing to do there after 7pm except go somewhere else.

Terrible, terrible suggestions.

NYC for early twenties, then Chicago for late twenties.

like

Most people in this industry can afford to live alone by their late twenties. I don't party that much but still find NYC to be far superior to any other city in the US. The cultural offer is just unmatched

NY has more girls than any of the other cities

Chicago!!

like

What are you looking for? Is proximity to outdoorsy things important?

With no information I would say NYC or if you like a slightly slower pace but still a ton to do, Chicago.

like

If you’re early 20s, Austin is a lot of fun and much more affordable than the cities you’ve listed

like

You can do the same exact thing in Chicago + not need a car. Seattle possibly, but you need a car there just like in Austin.

NYC without a doubt. it’s unparalleled in every capacity- food, culture, potential career progression. you name it.

like

Depends on where your friends are/will be

NYC is a nightmare. Unless you make more than 300k you’re basically poor. I love Chicago - only downside is the airport but it’s much better than JFK or LGA.

NYC - The city!

Also coz Harvey Spectar lives there 😉

Life long Chicagoan here. NYC is the answer.

Houston! Hahaha

Your career will grow best if you live in the city know for your industry. New York for financial services. San Francisco for tech. Houston for energy.

Hello,

I received a phone call from Airtel Digital yesterday. They are looking for Java Backend Engineers. The HR asked me about my NP. I honestly told them 90 days, but they are looking for someone to join in 45 days. I told her that I could finish my work in 60 days and join Airtel in 60 days, but she was not agreeing. She told me to start servicing notice.
The question is, how can I convince HR?
I have a total of 1.3 years of experience.
