Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

Honestly, and you're not going to like this answer, you're not supposed to.
What? $11 for a CSR at Domino’s? That sounds way off for a role that’s so customer-facing and demanding. Even entry-level gigs usually start higher these days, especially with how costly everything is. If that’s the case, it’s a tough ask to live on that and honestly, it might explain high turnover. Companies really need to step up pay where people are the front line.
Yeah and $11 is the high end! Had an interview scheduled for today and then asked about the pay…when they said $9-$11, I literally gasped and had to pick my jaw up off the floor…then I respectfully cancelled.
I don't know either. I am struggling with a pay that is double that. That's why these places are usually for students or single people.
I could possibly understand that if you are also tipped out at the end of the night. When I worked as a hostess in a restaurant, it was like $3 pay, but we got tipped out, which equaled much more than that. Not sure if CSRs get tips though... if not, that's wild.
Not unless you’re living with your parents or getting Government welfare, food stamps you can’t
Holy Moley! Just $11? Definitely not a livable wage.
