I’m 4 rounds into the interview process for an Assistant Controller position in SoCal.

For the next round, I’ll be meeting with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and 5 other junior accounting staff.

I’ll have 30 minutes to explain a month-end close task (of my choice) to the accounting team.

Also, I’ll have to analyze a random reconciliation and explain improvements that can be made.

I’m just a 2nd year manager, so I’m getting so nervous, and any insight or tips would be appreciated!

After working from home for the last 9 months, I do not want to ever go back into the office. I'd like to stay permanently remote. Advice for bringing this topic up with my manager? What’s your work-life balance like? I feel like I’m constantly working after hours, always balancing multiple projects, hardly ever going through a phase where there isn’t a ton of critical initiatives going on. It definitely wasn’t like this when I was a more junior PMM, but as a Senior PMM, my work-life balance has severely decreased. Is this just the nature of Product Marketing? Or can I actually find a senior PMM role that allows a bit more room to breathe?

After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!
