When it becomes an employees’ market, should candidates charge recruiters? This money becomes a revenue stream even though he said it’s not to make money.
Find better recruiters or ATS to filter and qualify candidates. Such shortsighted cringe for an inexperienced “ceo”
I am going to start charging for interviews and apply cancellation fees.
Grow Sciences? Is that a weed greenhouse?
That’s not gonna help reduce under qualified or mismatch candidates lol. Do you have any idea how many people today would pay that price if they were guaranteed an interview. It’s a small price to pay to get your foot in the door. Regardless of whether people are totally qualified, they will pay it to get in front of a decision maker.
Also consider how much gets paid when a headhunter makes a placement of a candidate. Some companies are reluctant to hire this way as it subtracts a few thousand from each new hire. Sometimes a hiring manager would hire you if not for the fee. No hiring manager wants people buying their way in, really they just want five or ten people to interview.
Yes Mr CEO asking people to pay to apply for a job when they are out of work and possibly have very little cash shows you’re completely off your rocker What a stupid thing to say.
I personally think the company should pay you for the time it takes to apply. The interviews, all the psychometric tests and the hours you spent curating your CV for the role and then putting that info on their application form where you already submitted your CV amount to at least a full business day.
