A bit of a silly question, but for those who had a baby in the winter, what did you do for professional outerwear? I’m about to enter my third trimester and am worried that none of my fall/early winter coats will fit my belly, and don’t want to wear a sweatshirt into the office.

You can get a maternity coat if you want, but if you’re delivering at the start of winter you can also make do with a large, warm scarf and wear your coat open.

They sell maternity coats that transition into coats you can babywear under. However if that’s not a concern of yours, I would do a stretchy blazer and not button it (or the ones meant to be worn open without buttons altogether) or like a trench coat kind of thing. Maybe a cropped trench.

You can buy a belly extender that zips onto your regular coats. I preferred this to buying a maternity coat to only use for a short time and to leaving the coat open

I was Listening to a podcast today about people in US tech getting rich from 50k to 100k of annual RSUs in the US that vest over 3 to 5 years then making millions when the company exits.

Wondering if there are similar opportunities in Canada or is it less common to receive a decent amount of equity here?
