Potential client owns an e-commerce website selling graphic design posters (think college type posters) submitted by a freelance artists. Most of sales are from posters based off of celebrity musicians. Does client need a license from the celebrities to sell graphic posters of the celebrities even though it is from freelance artists?

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

Contentious case. Parents each have the same amount of parenting time / visitation. Question is when the schedule changes and decreases frequency of exchanges. I send opposing counsel my client’s proposal and the response is “I won’t budge.” Thinking that’s odd (“I” instead of “my client” or the like), I respond that opposing counsel has an obligation to take it to the client, and immediately get “this isn’t productive. Hi Team, I got interviewed in LTI and I got confirmation mail from HR that I am selected for discussed role and they want my documents to go ahead for offer letter. 2 weeks they didn't respond me and stopped taking my calls and now HR said position is on hold after and under review, I am serving my notice period in current company since I resigned after offer and didn't give any interview in between because offer and HR was really promising.

I'm an associate who wants to make Partner one day but whenever I talk about "career advancement" with my Partner I get the "don't rush it, it's all merit based"

I'm aware of the business goals of my organization and the different ways one should contribute to said goals. That being said, should I keep looking for the conversation to express my desire to, one day, be considered for Partnership? Should I keep grinding and save it for when I make Consultant?

For those who have new pay effective 1 July, have you heard anything ?

Stay in current job with a team I like, at a big name employer, but doing work that is not building marketable skills, or jump ship now? My work will improve in a year’s time during which we will be upgrading our systems. I just don’t know if I should stick around for a year helping implement IT projects when I’m really an investment analyst and supposed to be coming up with trade ideas/models and following markets.

Our CSM department is going through a major restructure right now. There has been a huge amount of turn over since the beginning of the year. Our managers have not given us any insight to what the new restructure will look like, they have also pushed out our annual raise conversations until the end of April. A lot of CSMs are leaving the company and it has me thinking maybe I should entertain other opportunities elsewhere as well.
