Anyone think HODL has jumped the shark?
Hi,
If I get referred at IBM, get a mail for details from the HR but do not reply as I currently don't want to switch because of some reasons, can I get referred again after say 3 months?
Asking cuz the profile blocks for an year after applying/getting referred at Accenture.
Please help with the answer.

Contd...The leave culture was one of the biggest red flags for me. On paper, there were multiple leave options, but in my experience, getting them approved was a different story. I had requested just two days of leave during a particularly difficult time in my personal life. Not only was the leave cancelled, but the matter was escalated to senior management questioning why I was taking leave at all.
The expectation around working hours was also intense. I personally witnessed an expectation of 16-hour workdays and weekend work. A VP even said that because they had worked those hours, everyone else should be expected to do the same. That was presented as the benchmark.
Another thing I found difficult to understand was how much emphasis was placed on judging people based on educational credentials. At the same time, I saw people from tier-3 engineering colleges being promoted to Practice Director roles, while leaders with executive MBAs from relatively easy-to-enter programs were evaluating others on pedigree. The inconsistency didn't sit well with me.
The work allocation also felt deeply unfair. Some people seemed to have significantly lighter workloads, while others were consistently overloaded. If you questioned it, there was always a fear that you could be labelled as not being a "team player" or even be pushed towards a PIP.
What made it even more frustrating was that once the research agenda was delivered, the narrative could suddenly shift to whether you were a "cultural fit."
This is entirely my personal experience, and I'm sure others may have experienced the company differently. But if someone had asked me before I accepted the offer whether I would recommend joining, my answer would have been no. I would have wanted someone to honestly tell me about the communication style, the expectations around working hours, the leave culture, and the overall environment so I could make a more informed decision.
I strongly suggest everyone to go through critically rated reviews on Glassdoor, and also try to understand this, if a company's culture is good, why more than half of the employee have already left the firm?
Okay, as someone who has been here for over 5 years now, I definitely need to step in.
This is gross exaggeration. Yes, workload is high. But leaves? Seriously? I've worked with multiple teams and most Partners/VPs do not really cancel leaves. There is no policy of "approval". Multiple colleagues have taken leaves during notice period as well and the HR policy is that "we do not stop people from taking earned leaves". General work experience is also better than many Big4 practices where my friends work because they are expected to take calls on weekends and then get abused by clients as well.
I am aligned to the fact that the firm has taken a lot of misguided decisions. There has been push for productivity and greater output and that has impacted workload significantly.
Current attrition is at 20-25% and not 50% because we definitely have not had 250 people leave (out of 500+ Total). I know this because I go to work everyday as well.
The previous post was a decent callout, so I didn't say a word. But now this feels like OP is just providing misrepresentation because he couldn't cut it at the firm. There have been some people who were asked to leave due to unethical practices and some misbehaviours with colleagues. I genuinely hope that OP is not a part of that tranch.
Yes, I have read all Glassdoor reviews and I agree with most of them. But no one in those reviews have talked about leaves not being approved and other crap like that.
The issues of the firm are more leadership oriented and it requires a lot of course correction. But seriously OP I don't know what service line you were a part of but your shitty VP is not the absolute representation of this company.
