This is like a bear complaining to a shark it’s knees hurt, I cannot relate.

Why would that avoid taxes?

This is helpful, ty!

This loophole is now well known by other states and they do and will crack down on you

Good

Pay your taxes you skinflint

Unless you plan on garaging the vehicle in Montana, what you propose is illegal in every state that I know of. That’s not avoidance.

Hi Sharks,

I have completed all my pre-joining formalities & submitted all relevant documents. Once submitting the BGV got an auto mailer saying that it would take 14 days to complete the BGV. And the days are over now. Also, so far, I didn't receive any mails.

Do I need to wait or follow up with recruiter? Please advise?

If anyone is interested in taking a summer trip to Myrtle Beach from 7/29-8/5, I am renting out my timeshare with Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes. This resort is right on the beach and offers many fun activities for the whole family! The two-bed, two-bath condo has a fully furnished kitchen and can fit up to 8 people. I am ideally looking for someone to rent it out for the entire week for about 3K total. Message me for more information!

I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? Do you have model to share?

Anyone else do WWWY?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

How many matters is typical for one associate to handle (BL lit)? I know it is group-specific, but just trying to get a general idea. I’m a 2nd year and I am the only associate staffed on about 30 cases-meaning I keep track of all deadlines, do all day to day assignments, keep on top of following up with client/OC, and all research/drafting. Partners handle deps/court but that is about it. Is this a normal case load to be responsible for as a jr? I being dramatic by thinking this is too much?

It’s about 80% done but it’s incredibly tedious. I’ve made it to the 3rd round interviewing at three different firms over the past month, and the feedback I’m getting has all been very similar: they think I’m really great, but it’s not the right time. Why spend 4-6 hours interviewing me just to say there isn’t actually a current role for me? Should I be reading between the lines (if so what does it mean?) or pressing harder for more detailed feedback?
