A patient just left me a glowing, multi-paragraph review on Google, but they specifically mentioned my appearance and it feels weird. They called me beautiful and sweet before mentioning that I was great at finding their vein, and now my manager wants to print it out for the Shining Star board in the lobby. I know it was meant as a compliment, but having my looks highlighted on a public-facing corporate page makes me highly uncomfortable. Am I being overly sensitive?

I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. In contrast, my legal argument section is generally without edits. For context, first defense lit job post appellate clerkship. Is this normal?? Looking for salary range for X-ray techs with 15 years experience or more.

I’m a newer registered nurse (2 years) and want to get into remote work. I keep getting denied due to lack of experience but to even get the job I have now (case manager) the company knew one of my family members and they gave me a chance to interview because of that. For these remote companies where I don’t have connections how can I transition over?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.
