A recruiter I’ve worked with in the past reached out to me gauging my interest in a Director role. While I meet the role requirements for the most part, I’m not sure that I’m prepared to move to the next level as it would certainly put me outside of my comfort zone. At the same time. I also have young kids and I want to find a good work/life balance, but my current job environment seems a bit unsteady and I don’t have great balance there either. Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?
