A year ago this time it seemed I constantly got rejected after many interviews. It felt awful. Now I have multiple offers (money is about the same), and none of them is the exact fit I wanted. Nobody told me about the fear of missing out/of having made the wrong decision I’d feel wondering if I did the right thing. I had three choices, and I started the interview process for all of the roles on the same day. Now left wondering if I made the right choice and feeling guilty about it all.

Interesting work and fantastic people. Also, listen to your gut when you can.

That’s the one I chose! But I can’t help but wonder since this firm has no prestige at all if I’m limiting my exit opportunities. The people seem so nice, and I have a lot of autonomy. But it’s kind of frustrating that basic onboarding and HR processes don’t seem to exist, and they don’t have the resources I’m accustomed to in larger firms

Fear of missing out on what exactly?

The wrong work environment. Limiting my options for future jobs. Do you choose the grind and prestige with no life or the interesting work and fantastic people and remote work and a title upgrade or the middle ground that’s a mix of both?

Is she a miser or is this a normal American frugal living tendency?
