Brutal honesty? Companies are going to keep outsourcing pieces of HR to AI until something breaks badly enough to remind them why humans were needed in the first place.
Resume screening, AI interviews, onboarding paperwork...sure, those can be automated. But judgment, employee relations, context, fairness, risk, trust, and catching the messy human stuff? AI is not replacing that well. The danger is companies confusing “faster” with “better.” And yes, HR people should be paying attention, because the admin-heavy parts of the job are absolutely being targeted first.
Warmly,

I think AI can help with administration, but I would be cautious about removing too much human involvement. Hiring is still fundamentally about people.
