According to this article, 39% of Gen Z workers would rather be managed by Al than a baby boomer. I can't imagine being managed by AI. Would you be OK with an Al manager?

Wow, they always say kids like technology. Seriously though, thinking about it, is there a big difference between being managed by a baby boomer r being managed by AI? Both aren’t great at their jobs or taking accountability for what they don’t know.
Honestly it sounds like a little bit of a cop out. An AI supervisor won't really be able to fully manage or oversee somebody like a human would. I'm not trying to accuse Gen Z of being lazy, (I'm Gen Z myself) but it sounds like they just want to manage themselves.

The most effective leadership approaches are transformational, servant, and other follower based. These approaches in studies have proven to be the best in any industry that's innovative and volatile. These approaches also allow the followers to be autonomous and manage themselves with support from management. The least effective forms are directive, hierarchy, and trait approaches which would be the manager telling and directing the employees how to do the job. So I don't think it's a cop out. It's a response to micromanaging and structured management that looks at employees as just a number and resource.

I have had many managers in past careers that I'd prefer AI over and I'm a xennial or millennial or Gen x depending on what year scale they are using. I'd prefer a person that understands the job and gives proper support/direction but AI is better than a poor manager at least you know expectations and what it wants and it would be consistent
AI management will focus on the what and not the how. Good luck with all the soft gen z
So they would rather deal with a machine than to actually learn how to connect and navigate socializing with a human? I remember how happy we were that we could use computer sources in class. Now people are totally dependent to the point that they don't want to and refuse to think for themselves. Not only that they can only be half social online and have zero people skills at all. They have the inability to see gray areas. No empathy, no sympathy..... just a machine handing out the answers ... yes smart indeed 😒
