My advice would be to take a few days off.
Try to turn your phone off and just find things that relax you.
For example, you can go for a nice walk, do guided yoga, go to your favorite restaurant, spend quality time with your loved ones, watch a funny movie or two and make your favorite meal etc.
For future references, I would recommend you try take off at least 2-3 per month if possible and try to find ways to relax on those days off.
Also, you could try and schedule a vacation for yourself if possible for the next quarter of the year or so.
Best of luck to you.
Thank you, I appreciate this! It is difficult to take much time off at my job, but I have planned a few days at the end of the month!
Use your PTO! Coming from a professional where burnout is frequent and most don't last 5 years, I think burnout is often due to lack of work/life balance.
Work is just that - Work. It's not a personality trait. The place isn't going to fall apart if you aren't on your A-game 100% of the time.
Go in, do your job and only your job.
And when you feel bitterness creeping in, take a day off.
Don't spend the day sleeping in or lounging around. Don't spend it cleaning or taking care of chores. Do something to "reward" yourself. Go on a hike, go to a museum, whatever interests you.
I take one day off each month, and it helps so much!
