advice on breaking into FP&A? i started out of undergrad in consulting, hated it, and took a basic office admin job to figure out net steps. I'm getting my masters in finance now so i can move into fp&a roles. any advice for starting out?

Pandemic induced pressure & burnout. Is every agency bad at present? Desperate to move on before it kills me but worried it’s not diff anywhere else. Hearing people are off sick in lots of agencies.
Or does anyone have positive experiences to share?

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨

What type of background check do HF/PE/VC forms so these days? Employment, education and felonies are a given (I think) but is fingerprinting and drug testing still in the mix? How about credit score?

I am a proposal manager for federal consulting company. My base is low (112000) but I make up upto 50-70% of my base income with win bonuses. But I get the bonus only after the completion of one year of the base period of the contract. My question is -is this arrangement good or should I negotiate for higher base instead ?

How company Company performance bonus is paid in persistent? In offer it’s mentioned that some is paid monthly and remaining at the end of financial year based on performance review
