Long term I would like to become a financial advisor but don’t like the high selling pressure aspect when starting off. I would like to slowly build clientele on the side as I work. Are there any entry level roles that could lead to a financial advisor role that anyone recommends?

Has anyone else worked two programming roles at one time?
I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. To stay ahead of game I started to move forward in the interview process with another opportunity as an Application Software Programmer and just received notification that I got the position. Newer manager here (18 moths). Recent org announcements and hiring holds have put major stress on my team. Some are hyper focused on all the bad, how do I get buy-in that this is temporary and we still have a job to do? I feel it’s more important than ever to show value vs being task takers.

A former client director colleague has gone in-house as CMO. They are now asking me (currently ECD) to join and set up an agency-like creative team to up-level everything from brand to sales materials. It's a good mgmt opp and good creative is a definite possibility, but I'm conflicted. Aency BS would be nice to step away from, but I think I'm still bought into the notion that agencies are superior and in-house is where washed-up creatives go to die. Any regrets from those that made the jump?

First year here. Do associates get fired for not meeting the billable requirements?

I had one of those VERY nonproductive days today. I think I accomplished maybe an hour of billable work, even though I had a bunch of stuff to do. I just came off a 300 hour month, and unexpectedly got a continuance on a deadline on Wednesday, and it’s like all of my motivation leeched out of me at once.

I am brand new to the process and keep hearing conflicting reports. Should I be waiting out the market? Or is this the perfect time to buy if you can? I don't trust all these realty sites telling me I should buy now.
