I’m having difficulty finding a job and when I do, they always offer a starting pay of say $30/hr but during interview they always say “we start on contract and pay $15/hr for first 6 months and than $30/hr and benefits” any tips on how to be more valuable now as a draftsman until I finish my bachelors.

I haven’t been at a B4 firm since 2018. Do you still require a professional certification to be promoted to Manager?

I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm.
