If they want a 45 minute catch up call I feel like that's not bad news
Remember when you were waiting to hear back from college admissions? Regular sized envelope meant rejection. Big, thick envelope meant you were accepted. This seems like the big envelope.

Yeah students check on a web portal nowadays.
Lol imagine hearing for a full 45 minutes about not getting a job. 30 seconds in they thank you for your time and say they’re going a different direction. Then just 44 minutes of insulting you.

No one plans to give a 45 min speech just to reject someone.. I'd take it as good news.
Why in the world would they need 45 min to deliver bad news? I bet it’s good!
Could be your one and only transition meeting lol. Bring a notebook!
The position's direct report...they're hiring their boss? Haha
It sounds like good news to me.
Money on good news. It only took them 10 minutes to let me go
They may have some contingencies if it’s 45 mins... different city, crazy project or defer your offer for 3 months for a spot to open up.
the hiring manager is responsible for hiring their boss? what kind of tomfoolery is this and where do i sign up?
