How y'all explaining what you do to your extended families today?

Partners with kids and a working spouse, how do you manage? Is it realistic for both people in the relationship to work full time long term? How do you keep marriage going and career progressing?

I want to thank everyone in this bowl for getting me trough the nightmare that is PCOS related fertility issues. After 1.5 years of trying, two rounds of medicated IUI, accupuncture and every other homeopathic treatment available, a vanished twin…. Hubby and I welcomed our little girl on Friday at 37 weeks. She’s perfect. It was conversations in THIS bowl that gave me the hope and advice I needed to get here. So thank you, all of you- and to those that need it - hang in! There is hope.

Has anyone been through a situation that you were in a terrible relationship ( stress,anger, fights, swears, physical abuse, ego clashes) and how did you resolve it? Some might have worked on and stayed in the relationship and some might have broken up. I am looking for answers from both sides. How did you stay/work on it and how did you break up and move on? Me and my partner have strong feelings for eachother and are almost inseparable despite going through so much.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. It was such a beautiful relationship but ultimately he just didn’t love me. I love him so much. My mind knows that I deserve reciprocal love and I’m worthy, but I feel physically ill. My body hurts, my stomach is in knots, my head hurts. How is it that I have to mend a broken heart but also meet my billable hours lmao

Would you marry someone if they had a lot of loans on their head?

Been questioning my friendship with a group of girls. Really close to them before (been hanging out since high school), but all they do is gossip, shop, and talk about superficial things, and I just started realizing how our interests are different too in the recent years. When is it time to drop the friendship if you feel like the odd one out?

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. We went from once a week to maybe once a quarter.

I’ve talked to him about it and he says I should take care of myself. So frustrated. 😭😭

After spending two weeks in the apartment with my girlfriend, I realize that she really annoys me and I cannot stand her habits. But before this I really liked hanging out with her on Friday nights

Sometimes he says he will move out, then he says the baby and I should, sometimes he says he wants custody when the real reason im leaving is his lack of interest amd resppnsibility toward our family. I can tell he is hurt and is upset that i dont love him anymore and want to get everything ready to make the exit easy. How do I start?

Confession: The only in-law that I had a great relationship with passed away unexpectedly. The two remaining in-laws were on thin ice with me prior due to years of drama, nagging, and disgusting display of wealth. I believe their demand of money and general assholish behavior drove in law to his death. I love my S.O. but I can’t deal with the drama anymore.

Is getting back together with an ex always a bad idea?

Dads with older children: while raising your children, did your children prefer their moms over you? I know some will prefer dads over moms, but I assume majority of children out there will prefer their moms over dads… I have one child and it kinda hurts to see my child always preferring the mom over me. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I just do. How did you cope with such issue raising your children?

First time Dad and my 15 month old keeps running up the stairs at my in-laws place and they keep encouraging it. Stairs are almost 10 inches high with nothing underneath and I’m worried that he might slip and fall in between the stairs. One of the managers on my team continually throws me under the bus to the whole team even though I have proof to back up they’re wrong and it was their mistake. It’s just so infuriating. I have to just suck it up and take it even though I haven’t done anything wrong. When we’re 1 on 1, they admit their mistake and apologizes to me but also gaslights me. To the team they says it’s all my fault.
