After nearly 4 years of working at an agency, I'm going to the vendor side of things. Is this a "grass is always greener" situation? Maybe, but the pay, benefits, and not having to deal with some of the people I currently do was enough reason to jump ship. Everyone acted so surprised that I was leaving after I've been begging for a year for some change and some support.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals.
