Yeah account folks. Explain your job to me too please.
On any given day I’m doing some combination of:
-Relationship building with clients both on the advertising/marcom side as well as product marketing leads and internal creative leads - this could be through formal meetings, status meetings or just chats about the current work in progress, receiving feedback and, when needed, asking questions about feedback to try to have everything tight before we take the feedback to the creative teams, defending the work, expectation setting about what we can deliver and when (we don’t all say yes to the clients all the time)
-Project work: providing input on strategy and briefing docs when requested, reviewing work and trying to think through how we can best sell it in the best ideas while also delivering on business goals, helping build decks, building set up slides for client presos, working with our PMs to try to help manage client expectations on timing, discussing client feedback with the team, working with partner agencies
-Admin work: meeting requests, meeting recaps, job change forms, reviewing timelines, billing, QA when QA is backed up, AP scripts when creative and production are backed up, traffic
-Mentoring: having 1:1s with junior account team members, being a resource for them and reviewing emails/work/docs etc if they need a second set of eyes before it goes out, working with our interns
-Misc: sending files to new biz for pitches, providing other teams with insight/input about projects our team has worked on, prepping work for agency wide presentations, working with agency PR when warranted, etc.
Oh and an ungodly amount of weekly status meetings that I also wish we could get out of…
Some others will probably share some more eloquent responses to this question but these of the building blocks of what we do at my agency. I would LOVE to be able to spend more time thinking 6m-1yr ahead about where the business is going, but often times we’ve got so much going on day-to-day that the farthest I can get ahead of things is trying to think two steps ahead of what everyone on the team needs from me/clients to be able to do their jobs successfully.

Have you ever considered, ya know, talking to someone in account management at your agency?
