After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Apparently 85-90% of the jobs posted on their website are filled before it goes live, they just have to post it for discrimination reasons. Sucks but heard this from a high up MD in the investment bank.
Can confirm it’s true when I have worked there and did internal mobility. But there are also real jobs. The key, in top of knowing someone, is to apply day 1 of job posting given the number of applicants they receive per role. HR cannot possibly review all 1000, yes 1000 because pre pandemic they were getting 100s for roles.
I got in by applying online.
It’s my second stint at JPM and I applied online both times. Some jobs may be filled before posted as suggested by others but it wasn’t the case for me both times. Trick is to apply to multiple jobs posted on the JPM portal instead of applying for just 1 or 2
Many people get in by applying online. Networking also works.
You can apply online but I would suggest trying to get a referral. Sometimes getting a referral can help you get your foot in the door somewhere. Best of luck to you in the job search.
Not wrong.
If you apply randomly with no contact with a recruiter or through your network, then your odds are low.
If you don’t meet all the requirements & experience your chances are virtually zero.
Can confirm, not true at JPM at least and our referral system doesn’t really help
Applied to thousands of jobs over the years; never heard back from anyone
