HELP! Company wants me to move to the US for a Remote role - Is this reasonable? Hi, I'm moving through the stages for a Remote US role as a Canadian candidate. They mentioned if I were to be offered, expectation is I'd move to the US. I find this odd as the role is Remote but guess it's legal purposes. Good thing is, this comp also has a Canandian office BUT they said bringing me on through the Canadian office is not smth they do.

Is this reasonable?? How can i best negotiate? Thx!

I have been selected into ZS for the BTAC role under CCM(Customer-Centric Marketing). My YOE is 3.8 in Cognizant, and the domain is ETL, DW, cloud(AWS).

My question is, ZS is giving a great package compared to what I have in Cognizant (Above 100% hike), and Cognizant is ready to retain me by giving somewhere 50%-60% hike. Will ZS be a good choice for me to switch? In terms of growth, technologies, work, pay. Or should I accept what cognizant is giving and get retained?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. 🐠, I was laid off from industry during covid and started consulting this year, which was a step back in terms of level and salary. I have received an offer that would allow me to course-correct and advance past where I was before. I like my current firm and have put a lot of effort into making it my new home; however I don’t like my project and am stuck on it. I am terrified of making a move so soon into a role that isn’t a fit or worse, results in another layoff. Appreciate all perspective!
