Hello! Question for anyone that works at Google if I have hit my 3 applications per 90 days can I still apply to an additional role through a referral link? Or will I have to wait until the 90 days is up? Actually asking for a friend that doesn’t have this app 😊 thanks in advance for any insight.
Can anyone at GitHub give me a referral? 👀
Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

Do not let them hire you as American employee. Especially in an "at will" state. Benefits are a minefield for Americans as well
Thank you! Yea I'd like that too. It sounds like they think it'd be a hassle to coordinate with Canadian office (thought it'd be easier). Any advice how i can navigate the convo?

Hmm must be some weird legal/compliance thing. They might have reached their limit for internationals? Idk. Doesn’t sound like something you’d be able to negotiate since it’s so obvious/easy to bring you in remote working in Canada. Ask them to explain it in more detail so you’ll feel better about the offer.
Yes I'd think the easiest option would to bring me on through Canadian office and I'd be remote to US team. No legal issues here.
The tone sounds like while this is entirely possible, they don't want to bother with the hassle.
Any thoughts how i can navigate this?
Don't know your situation but I wouldn't do it unless hired by the Canadian company. Perhaps you can negotiate benefits and exit compensation, i.e. Have to pay you 2 months (picked this randomly) of severance when /if you are terminated and monthly health insurance, etc.
Thank you for your input! From their tone, it sounds like it's entirely possible to bring me on thru Canadian office but just too much hassle for them.
Any advice on how i might be able to make it easier for them to make it happen with me together?

Tax liabilities and compliance/regulations are some of the reasons we do this.
Thx for your thoughts! I believe if i were to be hired by CA office, would be no tax/compliance issues.
From their tone, if def sounds like this is possible but seems like it'd a hassle for them - any advice on how i might be able change their mind?
It's compliance/tax issue. I'm going through international transfer now and there are minutia of details I was never aware of. Nationality of your manager, where is the business primarily being conducted etc. All those play into how they decide to place you.
Great advice, thank you!
