I need a suggestion. For past 2 months am on bench in my current organisation.I want to switch back to Chennai since current company is Bangalore based.Everyone is expecting immediate joiner.no one is accepting the reason If I say am on bench and I can join immediately .Since my notice period is 2 months. , no one is accepting my profile
I’d rather quit than revise this agreement.

Very familiar with Slalom. Can say this is almost certainly not the case. Slalom does not do layoffs.
They most certainly do. My husband was part of their 7% employee reduction. They have decided to "restructure" the company.
Haven't yet (ever), doesn't mean we won't (ever), but not a standard practice. When times are tight, we do look at performance management a bit more, and may staff some roles we otherwise wouldn't, but we just don't do the hire/fire cycle of some firms.
My friend who works there said they’ve begun cuts across most business units
They just had a big layoff today
We didn’t lay anyone off during the pandemic, and we’re not doing it now. Our leadership has been very financially responsible which gives us a lot of flexibility to take care of our people in tough times.
Two Degrees was a staffing firm for account and finance professional in the 90s. Employees were just recruiters and sales people. The entire company almost folded and couldn’t make payroll during the dot com bust. Had to take money from friends and family to make payroll. Brad Jackson told those stories during my first quarterly.
We now have 13,000 employees in a Global Consulting firm as apposed to 25 people in a boutique staffing firm in Seattle.
Will we have layoffs? Not sure but this is apples and oranges. What was your point again?
.
Slalom has never done layoffs
I wouldn’t think layoffs, but bonuses will take a hit
Are slalom bonuses dependent on a practice meeting a goal or individual?
Shalom
Layoffs 7% workforce reduction company-wide announced. First time in history.
Any sense of how much the bonuses and pay raises will be effected?
Agree - but that assumes your market has achieved enough revenue to feed its bonus pool, and that market conditions were good enough that all folks have the ability to hit their metrics for bonuses. My point is simply that the market was rough this year, and things will be different than how the last two years ended up.
