Is there any coming back to agency life after starting your career on the client side? #askingforafriend FML that friend is me 😨
How do I deal with a Manager who does not have the skill set or experience to lead the work? Like I see him struggling in front of the client in answering basic questions. I am a SC so what will you guys recommend in this situation?
Junior associate in a big firm, slowly transitioning to a mid level role. In these slow times, wondering about client development. I know no one is expecting to bring in clients during this pandemic, but any general advice for how young associates can get an impressive and effective head start on business development that could actually lead to new clients? What do firms and clients actually care about (networking in and out of your firm, certifications, speaking engagements, etc)?
If you apply to an audit client, how restrictive is it? Would you need to let your company know, even if you are just applying? I am in consulting so I have never been on an audit engagement. I hear if you do exit, you will have additional paperwork to fill but for the most part, is it easy/not a big deal?
Unfortunately was just laid off. I’m taking this as an opportunity to look forward to new experiences and people to work with. If anyone knows of any Producer gigs, I’m now available. I’m agency side.
Does anyone pass the merchant/credit card fees to their clients when the client pays online?
What are project manager roles at FAANG like? Is the work exciting? Is comp similar to other positions. Thank you in advance for your insights.
Just got told by managers that my performance hasn't met their expectations. High performer last year. Am I getting fired?
Does Salesforce have a strategic customer engagement team in their Consulting org that focuses on project delivery? If so, how’s it different from their Advisory services that staffs Program Architects on delivery projects?
New to consulting. How should I structure my message to project leads to try to get staffed. How detailed to I need to be ?
If you're laid off, do they ask you to resign? If so, can you refuse and ask them to fire you instead?
Are any Apple agency vendors worried about potential layoffs due to Apple’s stock price and slump in sales?
Checking in with those who were laid off a few months ago. How are you all doing? Are you having any luck finding open positions?
Despite the rosy rhetoric from Corporate America, the truth remains: last hired/first fired. https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5f5fa3c0c5b68d1b09c5eabc
In crisis mode about being let go or get fired and stupid things I told my Partner. Can I DM someone?
Does staying at a job too long make you less marketable? A CFO who worked at a company for over a decade and was fired because of cut backs was hired for temp work. An accounting manager of 6 years was hired for tech support. How does this happen?
Anyone worried about layoffs? I saw a post about Deloitte laying off 5000 employees ... I know EY saying no lay off this year but what about other firms?
If you were laid off from your last job do you think it will affected your negotiation in your next job?
I was fired today. What do I do next? I’m a third year associate at a “boutique” firm. Although I knew my performance wasn’t good and I was on thin ice, I was never given any formal warning, so I was caught off guard when they called me and just fired me, effective immediately. I was locked out of the email and computer system before the call was over, and I’m already off the website. I was so caught off guard I hardly remember the conversation (cont)
someone save this attorneys job. I hired an attorney with 5 years experience. I send her assignments and usually the law we're using. She never reads the breifs or memos we've prepared. Does her own research and usually misses the points. When I ask why she says she's intimidated by the memos etc and they're "hard". That drove me up a wall. We don't get paid to do easy things. Just because it's hard you give up? WTF.
For people managers, will you choose to downgrade to individual contributors at FAANG or continue being a people manager in traditional industries (e.g., finance, healthcare)?
Need credit card advice - what would you recommend if I don’t plan on using my points to travel and most of my spending is on groceries, going out to bars and restaurants, and online shopping? Currently use the Uber card which has significantly declined in value since I got it. Thank you!
Oh thank goodness you confiscated my Tom's toothpaste, TSA. I was planning on whitening someone to death on my flight later.
Flying to Orlando for 2 days alone. Going to hit up Universal Studios and Island of Adventure with the limited express pass for one of the 2 days Any tips for food, etc.? Going to try to make it through without a rental car and only carrying a small day pack. Considering seeing some gator farms, etc., but trying to get an affordable experience given I've dropped 210 on the Universal ticket.
Cardinal commerce a subsidiary of Visa Inc. How much should i expect TC (base+ bonus+stocks) for Sr.Tech Product Manager role?
What is salary range for new SM ?
I currently work in a hybrid sales/marketing role. However, I would love more experience in marketing specifically so I can move in to a marketing specific role. Does anyone have a suggestion of books or articles, podcasts, organizations to follow that will allow me to stay up to date on the latest trends but also help prepare for a marketing centric role? Thank you
The latest “Look the other way” news cycle distraction going into the weekend (it’s always going into a weekend) was the immigration disaster in Texas involving people under a bridge. To be education based and let us learn something in context: how has immigration (legal or illegal) affected your current school during your lifetime?
Serious question. What baby items are most expensive? (other than diapers, formula, college education, nanny.. Etc)
What does it mean if you get rejected after a phone screen? I always thought you were supposed to pass them and they were simply a formality. But getting rejected after two phone screens has me concerned. Is it just a disconnect between recruiter and the hiring team?
Everyone in NYC is sick 😷

Any resources I can use to learn how to analyze those candlestick graphs on Binance? Want to know the sell walls, resistance points, etc
Currently pursuing a MBA, and am deciding which focus areas to take. I am trying to pivot from UX design to product in tech. Ideal sector: FinTech Current sector: Mobile Gaming Related sectors: Entertainment, Edutainment, e-Commerce, Social Aiming at head of product or head of design as long term goal. If only 2 focuses, would you pick Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation, or Global Challenges in Business? Advice appreciated!
