Not fb oh god
*not the internal agency... a product analytics job
Droga5 is nice. But you have to Really bust your ass there. One of the few agencies that ate making really creative ideas for real clients and not just pro-bono ngo stuff. But if I could choose now I will get out of agency world and go to a place that creates content.
Facebook's culture is not for everyone. If you're not into their vibe, you won't last long. If it fits for you - Facebook is an amazing place. If you want to be the king of your domain and have a big ego - stick with D5
lol amateur
im interviewing at google look at me
Lol. Hopefully I won't get one so I don't have to decide. Basically didn't pull any punches in my search and called in favors left and right. Sick of jumping every year
Fuck egos I want to do cool shit with smart people
@Ex Prod - How would you describe that culture?
Go with neither. Both suck.
I know people on the analytics team at FB - all smart as F. very selective. they have a crap-ton of data (obviously) so lots of interesting problems they can answer.
For analytics, FB no question. Do you want to be the star of the show or a support player? FB is data-led from a mktg standpoint and ad agencies simply are not.
Facebook Jesus Christ how can you even ask that question?
@OP - if you want to do cool shit, getting in at FB, there's so much going on, it's crazy. You'll need about 6-12mo to figure it out but there are amazing people there and they want you to work.
@ LB2 - the overall culture is very much like you read in press -- bringing your whole self to work, transparency, breaking things, and a lot of conversation. If you're not into the platform, also a bad fit. If you're senior, you're expected to work. It's not a place where you can get by as a hack. You will get found out pretty quick
What Analytics would you do at Droga?
