Best holiday camping ever ?

Hi, I’m looking to switch into marketing (entry level), as consulting is not aligned with my skill set/passions. Does anyone know of any ad agencies in LA that have good work-life balance, good pay, PTO, great culture, promotions, training? Your help means more than you know!!! Looking to do informational interviews and try to network my way in, as I feel the barrier to entry was much harder than anticipated. Anything helps, thank you so much!

I’ve worked at places that all have different holiday policies. EA has at minimum a nice 10 day shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Years. It’s great to know that there will be no slack messages or an exploded inbox to come back to while away. I’ve been at other studios that only give you Christmas Eve & Day and New Years Eve & Day and then the rest is up to you to request for PTO and this is obviously the suck.

What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

Hi friends, looking for some advice. I am currently in India due to a family health emergency for my mom. She is still critical and don’t have a good timeline on returning to work. I have taken pto but that will soon be over. What are my options? Will LOA impact my immigration status? I am on H1B.

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.

Amerisourcebergen doesn't care about its employees. We have no mental health awareness. Leadership only promotes people who kiss ass the most qho have no managerial experience and pass people who actually have experience in a manager role. Leadership never helps you with anything. Managers write you up for no reason amd threaton your job constantly. Ive have leasherip threaten my job while on FMLA and write me up for taking too much time off

Hi all, I’ve been taking 15mg XR in the morning and 15mg IR as needed in the afternoon for about 2 years now and it’s helped a lot, however, when I take time off I just feel so lethargic. I’ve read about people taking Wellbutrin as well. Anyone have experiences with this? I meditate and exercise as well, but I just lack energy and almost feel like the same things don’t make me happy when I’m not on my medication.

The firm I work for is not closing for the hurricane. Staff were told to work from home or take PTO if they could not come in to the office (and the building is now closed until Friday). Is this normal?!

No matter how much and how hard I try organize my day, stuff just pops out of nowhere all the time and I end up stuck at my desk until midnight almost every single day.
