Hi Fishes I am in a complex situation, please help me out..

I got an offer with TCS and initially selected joining date as Jan 2.. but current org released me in 1 month instead of 3 months.. I asked TCS HR and others for early Onboarding but they didn't respond well..

After that I got one offer and joined immediately. But now I don't like to work here as I have to go to office all 5 days mandatorily, also role is slightly new to me.

How can join in TCS on the selected date ?

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. I believe that one PM role is preferred in the industry and most modern software companies, especially FAANG companies, only have PMs. Just curious what others have experienced and if I'm correct in my assumption.

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.

Wondering if anyone else faced the same issue?

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. Received an offer for a Product Manager role from a midsized financial services company for $120k base + 15% bonus. Currently making $130k + 15% bonus in consulting with 4 yoe. Is this a good offer? I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
