The office is closed for Labor Day, but that just means Tuesday will be a "double Monday." I force myself to disconnect and leave the state for a two-week vacation once a year -- sometimes in the summer and sometimes in the winter, depending on if I'm feeling like the beach or the mountains.
Office closed doesn’t mean no work unfortunately.
Last time I took a vacation where I really turned everything off was about a decade ago. We were camping in Yosemite, with no cell reception and no internet and it was great. I could get WIFI if I went to the Ahwahnee Hotel in the valley in the afternoon, but outside of checking in a few times I was pretty much off the grid. Need to do that again, maybe in another park though, as Yosemite has gotten too crowded.
Yep I am right there with everyone in this thread, office is closed but sadly I will still be working. I honestly can't remember the last time that I took a vacation and was fully unplugged. I do know that I will be fully unplugging in October when I go out of the country.
As a junior, I pretty much fully unplug and I've still maintained top bucket every year doing this. Not sure you can do this as a senior though.
