I think some of these quotes are a few years in the past; I think if you want to compete with sign on bonuses at retail, and average clinical pay moving into the $70/hr range, you’re going to have to move into the $60/hr range, minimum. I can’t see myself leaving my clinical job for less than $62/hr, even with 9-5 M-F
Prior authorization pharmacist here, if you want people to stay / have interest in the job at least minimum 120k.
I'll share the application link in time
Pharmacist 5 has made all valid points regarding hiring and retention. I would take them into consideration to avoid turnover.
Thanks Syed! Just don’t want others to suffer as I did. The staffing issues are no joke especially when it comes to keeping the companies accreditation and passing audits.
I typically see the hourly rates starting around 50$- 55$ for these type of roles. It also seems to vary by states

I appreciate your efforts in finding appropriate & competitive compensation. I would love to know more about the position!
I agree that 120k is a more competitive salary, especially if you’re considering someone with more experience.
Interested! Please share a link. I agree with $120,000
It probably will be 105k, but I can't speak to that right now
Just based on my experience (for both temp and full time pharmacists) for that salary you’re offering. Pharmacist will still apply for the experience but do not expect them to stay long term. My company starting was also within that range 105k to 115k but people will leave after 1-2 years and go off somewhere else. Thus causing multiple staffing issues. We have other insurance companies in our area offering $65 per hour or starting of 120k. Please be aware of that!
I don't get to decide salaries directly, but I'll note the concern
That I understand, but just wanted to give you a heads up. Especially from my experience it is not great. Too many resources wasted to retrain new rphs and for them to only end up leaving (but I understand why and I can’t blame them). I wish you the best of luck though!

For a lower complexity job like prior auth the average tenure may be 2 years regardless of salary — perhaps the reason the pay is low.
I’m interested too.
